Will Keane ruled out of action for one year
Former Manchester United striker Will Keane who currently features for Hull City has been ruled out of action for up to 12 months.
The striker who joined the Tigers in August, suffered serious knee ligament damage and is expected to undergo surgery on Tuesday, November 15.
He is also expected to miss the first few months of the 2017/18 campaign.
The embattled player featured for Manchester United between 2011 and 2016 making just two appearances for the Reds, before going on loan to Wigan, QPR, Sheffield Wednesday and Preston North End.
He signed a permanent deal with Hull City on August 30, 2016 and made his debut for the club two weeks later.
The 23-year-old suffered the injury in the first half of Hull City’s 2 – 1 win against Southampton on November 6.
“Everybody at the club wishes Will well for a full recovery ahead of what is going to be a long road back to action.” Hull boss Mike Phelan said.
“To lose a player of Will’s quality and potential for such a long period of time is a big blow, but I’m sure his determination and mind set will see him through the tough journey ahead.”
