Mariah Carey Performs for the First Time Since James Packer Split

Mariah Carey is carrying on with her life in Toronto.
The "Heartbreaker" songstress performed for the first time since she and James Packer called off their engagement, and really brought down the house. Mariah shut down an entire block in Canada Thursday night to sing at the annual Hudson's Bay and Saks Fifth Avenue Holiday Window unveiling, where she wore a red and pink Anna Maier gown.
Mariah didn't just perform "All I Want for Christmas Is You," she gave attendees areal show that featured fireworks and confetti. Fans dubbed her the "Christmas Queen" after her headline-making performance. The event was live-streamed on Facebook.
Missing from her performance, however, was the 35-carat engagement ring Packer gifted her upon proposing. Instead, the "Without You" singer wore a butterfly ring on that finger. Although Mariah looked happy to be in Toronto, a source previouslytold E! News that she was devastated by the breakup.
"The split has been devastating for Mariah," the source shared. "She loved James and was planning to marry him...She made life changes for this man to prepare for their future as husband and wife, even relocating to L.A., at James' request, so he could be closer to his children. Everything she has done over the past year is to prove how fully committed she is to their life together. She really wanted this to work. And then, completely out of the blue, it imploded."
The insider added that Mariah was "blindsided" by the split, which came "out of nowhere."
