Somebody is married in Vampire Diaries !!!! See who
Steroline shippers, are you okay? Because after those final few minutes of The Vampire Diaries we're worried that you might've fainted and fallen down or screamed so hard that you lost your voice.
Puzzled as to why? Watch the episode and get back to us! But if you've seen, please continue on as we discuss this momentous moment.
Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) just proposed to Caroline Forbes (Candice King) and it was incredibly romantic (special shoutout to the Fray song playing in the background while it happened, too) and we're honestly still processing what just happened.
Here's how it went down: Caroline was almost finished moving into Stefan's house when he told her he had a present for her. "You are my family now," Stefan told his love before she opened a jewelry box that contained—you guessed it—a gorgeous diamond ring.
While he didn't get down on one knee, he did ask his love the very important question: "Caroline Elizabeth Forbes, will you do me the honor of wearing this engagement ring as a token of my love?" he asked, before clarifying without a doubt: "I want you to marry me."
She said yes, duh!
We'll let you celebrate, but before you get too comfortable with your favorites living happily ever after, know that there might be a few bumps on their road to the altar.
"They've got a really beautifully bumpy journey so far, but I think fans of that ship, as the kids say, will really enjoy it," King told E! News on the show's Atlanta set.
But Wesley wasn't all positive: he said they might not be able to stay intact for the full eighth season. "Definitely not intact the entire time, but perhaps towards the end—although that I can't even surmise, because I don't have any inclination as to what the finale will be," he told us on set. "I know there were some discussions about it and we have talked about it a little bit, but I ultimately genuinely don't know what will happen."
What do you think of a Steroline union?
