7 Country Music Couples Who Delivered Unforgettable Duets On and Off Stage
There sure is something special about a pair of country cuties sharing the same stage together.
As music fans know, duets and collaborations happen at almost every awards show and world tour.
But when these one-of-a-kind performances happen between real-life couples, there's just a whole new level of magic added to the music.
Whether it's Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani coming together for a rendition of "Go Ahead and Break My Heart" or Faith Hilland Tim McGraw sharing the mic on songs like "Meanwhile Back at Mama's," fans can't get enough of the romantic duos.
In honor of Country Music Week at E! News, we're taking a look back at some of the most incredible collaborations between couples. And who knows, maybe we will get another example this Wednesday at the 2016 CMA Awards.
1. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani: "Go Ahead and Break My Heart"
When the artists both appeared as coaches on The Voice, viewers at home were able to witness the pair's chemistry during their very first live performance of the track. "I am excited because I never in my wildest dreams thought I would write a song with that guy. He's so talented," Gwen later shared with E! News. "He's an amazing writer. Every time I collaborate with anyone I feel like it's the best thing I've ever done. Whenever I collaborate, it lifts me."
2. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw: "Meanwhile Back at Mama's"
How can any country music fan just pick one song from this Hollywood couple? Fortunately, the chances are good that you'll experience this one and many more if you see them on their Soul2Soul tour kicking off this coming April in New Orleans.
3. Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman: "The Fighter"
During an impromptu karaoke session, the Hollywood couple melted everyone's heart with a rendition of "The Fighter." "Oh my God, I love this song!" Nicole joked while in the passenger seat. Keith replied, Good,thank Goodness.
4. Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood: "In Another's Eyes"
While there is plenty of anticipation surrounding the couple's upcoming Christmas duets album, we're more than happy to look back at past performances including the time they performed "In Another's Eyes" at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. That kiss at the end was just the cherry on top to a special moment.
5. Amy Grant and Vince Gill: "House of Love"
When the couple recorded their song back in 1994, he was the king of country and she was the queen of Christian pop. What came next was a collaboration that still is beloved today. "I felt like I knew him instantly," Amy shared with ABC News when looking back on their first meeting. Vince added, "I started dancing with her, and those pretty big eyes, I started to sing and the words were just nowhere to be found. And the people were laughing at me."
6. Keifer and Shawna Thompson: "Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not"
The duo better known as Thompson Squarehave the special task of performing around the country together as a pair. As a result, it's hard to just nail down one extra special performance. Our choice goes to their hit single "Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not" that has us ready to smooch our significant other.
7. Clint Black and Lisa Hartmann Black: "When I Said I Do"
After being married for 25 years, this duo sure knows how to make some sweet tunes and lyrics. "When I said I do, I meant that I will 'til the end of all time," they sang. "Be faithful and true, devoted to you / That's what I had in mind when I said I do."
